With all the reading and viewing of films this week, I have learned that there are numerous types of assessment types that a teacher should use when teaching. I never knew that a teacher should be conducting assessments during the teaching phase. I never associated any of the tests, quizzes, oral and written as a source for conducting assessments I do not think that this was done when I was in school in the 1960’s-70’s. So this is all new to me. I now know the types of assessments that a teacher must use, when to use them and how they are important in developing a lesson plan. I am becoming more interested in learning the mechanics of being a teacher. As I learn things each day, I am going into the school where I work and watch the teachers more closely and see that they are doing these assessments each day. Pretty nice to now understand what and why they do things.
